You’re doing great, but whenever you drift streamers you want to use an indicator of whatever sort, whether it’s czeching or with a bobber. This will ensure your strike detection. Also be sure to break down the water. Anything that looks too shallow isn’t too shallow. I’ve caught some of my larger fish in just a few inches of water. Fish on!

Yo man main problem right off the bat too much line out too much belly in your line gotta give that streamer some action and don’t be so quick to move on a lot of time fish eat streamers on the tail end of the swing let it sit there a sec and strip line in and let it out do that for about 10 mins and then recast at the top of your stream and keep your line tight and belly free

You have the right attitude and plenty of passion. Enjoy the learning curve, you will be up to speed in no time! Wooly Bugger, use weighted version with tungsten bead head to get it down deep fast, cast down and across as you were doing, but you need to retrieve the line to give the fly movement and spark the trouts instinct to attack. Casting and moving down stream with a wooley bugger on a river like that is fine…. Dry fly, you need to present the fly better, and learn how to let it drift drag free. It requires more skill than streamer fishing, but its straightforward once you get the hang of it. You will get there soon enough. Beautiful river, happy fishing and tight lines!

Fly fishing is absolutely amazing. So much more than just "fishing", it's an art. To be surrounded by such beauty in a crystal clear river, and mastering the actual art of fishing, searching for what's hatching and choosing your flies. And to land trout on a fly rod. Nothing like it. Amazing, absolutely amazing activity and hobby. Enjoyed watching your video, god dang I can't wait for spring/summer in Colorado.

Hilarious! im gunna go through a line in now stay with it! you will find them. dont discredit the dry fly just because they aren't raising a lot. use a nymph as a dropper under a big dry fly as an indicator and double your odds!

After a flood or high water , the first thing I'll tie on is a large hellgrammite imitation . They are the larva of the Dobson fly . They live under those stones you seem so fond of and get dislodged in high water . Great pattern for smallmouth bass in the lower elevations as well .Nice video .
