Fantastic video and awesome summary! I recently went out surfing/jetty fishing… absolutely out of my element… and came back home wondering what some of the best techniques would be for my next run. This was exactly what I needed. Thanks for the hard work and dedication to the craft, Tight lines!

Honestly you’ve helped rekindle my angler spirit. You’ve encouraged me to pursue surf casting as a hobby. Wish you nothing but joy and good luck. Appreciate you and keep being you.

Ngl bro I’ve been freshwater all my life. But I live close to the beach and I’ve always wanted to try salt. This is a lot of game you put out and I’m taking notes. I know it’s not as easy as buying the rig and running out to the water. This made it a whole lot easier to digest. I appreciate it!!!

Inspira 3000 is a great reel. Okuma is a bit off with their capacity their reels hold though. My 3000 holds a 150 yard spool of 20lb suffix 832 perfectly. That’s with no backing. Their chart says 240 of 20lb braid which is way off. As for performance you could add another $100.00 to the price and it would be worth it.

Thank you for all the tips, I'm trying to go SoCal surf fishing for the first time and trying to follow your setup. In you Carolina Rig video, you recommended 6 & 10lbs fluorocarbon line, in this video you suggest 15 & 20lbs, which one do you recommend for surf fishing in Malibu area?

I assume you would be using 4000 size reel for a 10' rod but your setup are 3000 size reel. Does the 4000 cast further than 3000? I was aiming for 4000 reel on a 9'6 tsushima airwave elite but if cast distance is not much a different from 3000 and 4000 then i def will get a 3000 for lighter.
