Fantastic video and awesome summary! I recently went out surfing/jetty fishing… absolutely out of my element… and came back home wondering what some of the best techniques would be for my next run. This was exactly what I needed. Thanks for the hard work and dedication to the craft, Tight lines!
Honestly you’ve helped rekindle my angler spirit. You’ve encouraged me to pursue surf casting as a hobby. Wish you nothing but joy and good luck. Appreciate you and keep being you.
Ngl bro I’ve been freshwater all my life. But I live close to the beach and I’ve always wanted to try salt. This is a lot of game you put out and I’m taking notes. I know it’s not as easy as buying the rig and running out to the water. This made it a whole lot easier to digest. I appreciate it!!!
Inspira 3000 is a great reel. Okuma is a bit off with their capacity their reels hold though. My 3000 holds a 150 yard spool of 20lb suffix 832 perfectly. That’s with no backing. Their chart says 240 of 20lb braid which is way off. As for performance you could add another $100.00 to the price and it would be worth it.
I see in some of the clips that you're using a baitcaster from the beach. Could we just use a cheap bass fishing baitcaster instead of the spinning reels recommended?
Thank you for all the tips, I'm trying to go SoCal surf fishing for the first time and trying to follow your setup. In you Carolina Rig video, you recommended 6 & 10lbs fluorocarbon line, in this video you suggest 15 & 20lbs, which one do you recommend for surf fishing in Malibu area?
the MOP grind is like the perfect sweet spot between straight vanilla and retail. If you grind for a while you genuinely feel rewarded for your time! Loving it so far
I assume you would be using 4000 size reel for a 10' rod but your setup are 3000 size reel. Does the 4000 cast further than 3000? I was aiming for 4000 reel on a 9'6 tsushima airwave elite but if cast distance is not much a different from 3000 and 4000 then i def will get a 3000 for lighter.
Thanks benji just got into surf fishing went yesterday didnt do well not giving up thanks again for taking your time in teaching us cant wait to catch my first fish from the shore

I looked on Amazon for the flash minnow and guess what I saw? Your picture on the Amazon listing!
Hey Benjie. If I have a 8000 lb reel, can i still use a 20 lb line?
What a great video
I’m trying to buy lucky craft 110 seems that the diving depth is 2 ft… is this the correct depth? Thanks

So do you put two 15y rolls of braid on the Inspira since it holds 300y?

Excellent video. Cant believe this single video has more than enough information needed to catch fish in the surf.
What beach is best for halibut in Ventura?
Do you know why people catch this fish?………for the Halibut. 😬😘🤘🏻
Is it ok to use 15lb braid with 15lb fluoro leader? Or would it be better to use 20lb braid with 15lb fluoro leader?
Thanx.
Just start looking for Benji. There's gotta be a Halibut near him.
Do you use a weight on the lucky craft leader line?

Yo, now this is a very well structured video for us southern California fishermen. On the hunt for halibut. Thank you for your good work.
