My spinner lure is too lightweight. Where do you set the weight to allow you to cast further without it sinking the lure too fast and getting it caught on rocks and such? I'm new to fresh water fishing. 😛
beginner question – I tried it at a local pond and my spinner keeps snagging on muck and pieces of algae. I guess the body of water is shallow and the spinner is sinking too low… should i go fish elsewhere in a deeper body of water? I tried to reel earlier to prevent the spinner from sinking , because if I reel too slow I feel like it will sink and catch mud. I kept casting that way for about 15 more min, but got no bites, while a group of guys across the other side were getting bites on their worm. Any tips?
