Montana's best! Kelly, I've been fishing your "drop-shot" setup with a gummy worm or rubberleg on the bottom, sinkers hung about 8" off, and a zebra midge tied off the blood knot – Been pretty productive on the Gallatin. Appreciate ya!

BEING IN ALASKA AND COLD TEMPERATURES YOU LEARN TO USE HAND WARMERS. IF YOUR GOING TO USE THEM TO PUT YOUR HANDS
NEXT TO WHILE FISHING AND HAVING WET HANDS WILL KILL THE WARMER SO ITS A MUST TO KEEP YOUR HANDS DRY. THEY WILL KEEP YOU WARM AND TOASTY

Great to see you on the water with your burner. Our Ruby passed 3 yrs ago, and I still miss her and her gentle nature. She was great in the boat as well as walking/wading. Great video Kelly, you always make it look easy…and informative. Have a good winter rest-up, with all the recent cold temps it feels like the old Montana. Be well buddy. John Hunziker, 59718

Winter wading…..I have yet found equipment to wade safely and still have warm feet. Neoprene paddle shoes don't have traction but are warm, wading boots have no insulation but have traction. Can you recommend a pair of wading boots that are warm? Thanks, great instructive videos.

This may not be the best way to get in contact with you on an old video…..will try other ways if no reply.

How do you set it up for midges with the split shot? Drop shot, like for nymphing? Or weight above fly?

this video really charges me up… I just rented a small cottage on a fast running river and have not had a chance to fish it yet as the snow is still deep. But never having fished fast flowing water I was wondering how to keep my fly/nymph from being swept away and general presentation as I don't see any real structure… it's like the river in your video… now I know they are there and what I need to do to get them… thanks.
