Alabama requested American eel encounters not too long ago. They didn't really advertise about that, but I think it's buried somewhere in their regulations booklet.
When i lived in georgia my friend and i used to catch nothing but eels or the crabs stealing our bait so we ate all of them lol they are good fried but the worst thing ever grilled. Good to see some new species on the channel!

Sir I'm going to let you know right now your not going to have to worry with anybody messing with you cause at the start of your video seeing your guard dog you have man I dont think it is going to let anybody get close to you lol but like the dog what is it name I love animals I have a few dog about that size and they dont back down from nothing lol they act like they are 10 foot tall but to your video I like seeing you mix it up a bit thats what makes your channel so much greater than others cause you show the true side of fishing like I have told you before the good the bad and the ugly lol that how fishing is your not going to go out everyday and catch 10 pounders heck I will take the half a pounder and the pounders fish over the big ones I think the little ones fight like they are 10 pounders lol but man I dont know about them eels they look like snakes to me I would have cut my line lol but keep it up I love your channel and I learn something from you everytime I tell you what I thank you for the video you made on the poor mans drop shot cause that is all I use cause I'm poor for real cant get the nice stuff so how you showed how to rig it that way that all I fish beside the Texas rig them are my go to so just want you to know you have learned at least me something I want to say I appreciate all the time and hard work you put in your videos cause I get something out of everyone of them so thank you and dont stop please

Nasty slimy eels. Here in VA the cats and rockfish love them cut up into chunks.
