Can anyone explain to me why the "Point" is the spot and not the inlet part. @ 3:47 he shows a diagram with an arrow showing the point; what I am asking is why the area marked with a "5" and the inlet area next to it aren't good for fishing. I thought these were spawning areas and had high chances? Am I mistaken?
This summer we were visiting some friends in up state NY on the St. Lawrence. Their great grand daughters happened to be visiting and the oldest (10) wanted to fish from the dock. As I watched her, she wasn't having much success, so, having fished most of my life I gave her a helping hand. She was just fishing with a worm catching little perch, but she was so fascinated in catching these little guys. Her parents however, haven't done any fishing. I spent probably two hours with her baiting her hook and she just continued to learn over that period of time the most basics about fishing. It's been some time nice I had so much fun enjoying watching someone fish. So, I have decided to send her some fishing rods and tackle that I have along with some baits. Unfortunately, the winter is coming but she will have time to learn over the winter. I thought about explaining to her my experiences in fishing but before doing that I decided to check youtube. Your site was the second that I had check. You couldn't put it any better for a beginner. Of course us ole pro's, lol certainly have our favorite kind of fishing. It took me a long time to get an interest in fishing plastics. I have to say, it got me hooked. Aside from them, top water is my second and I just prefer fishing the shallows. Thanks for providing such a well prepared presentation. She will be watching I'm sure. It's my first recommendation to her. Thanks again. Ross Fredericksburg, VA
"cant catch fish if you dont go fishing" ive been trying for four months. Probably 40+ hours and over 40 lakes and ponds near me in orlando. I either really suck or idk. I havent caught anything and im this close to selling all my shit
Your videos are very helpful. I have a question though. You (and most everyone) says to look for fish where there is structure on the bottom of the lake… but how are you supposed to know where the structure on the lake bottom is? Some places have topo style maps of the lake, but not every where has one. Plus, those only show gross features, not the smaller channels or drop-offs. So how is a person supposed to find those hidden structures on the lake bottom?
This is a great video!! I have been bass fishing with some success but only by guessing, this really helps figuring out where to fish since I'm a boatless angler
Awesome videos brother! Not very many guys with fishing channels simplify the information or take the time to teach people how to get started. People don't know the lingo and what not and you strip down everything for us. Between you and informative fisherman, you two have change the game for a lot of people. My game is so much better. I love fishing more now that I catch… More fish. lol thanks brother may your videos launch you into another world.
With cover comes with catching on cover
I like ur videos…👍👍👍
Are you coming a series for crappie?
