I really think any thing on topwater that has some kind of motion would work. Bass don't care or likely can't even tell exactly what it is they're hitting. They just know some kind of creature is on the surface.

Good amount of fishing in the video without much interruption. 2 years ago on a hot summer day while fishing a small urban river in CT, I saw a feral muscovy. It didn't mind me getting close to it. I still have a picture of it. It was albino with the typical red facial skins. And clean that windshield LOL
Another reason would be that it doesn't matter what the duck lure's color is or the fact that it is a duck lure…since it is a top water lure, as far as the fish is concerned it is something that is struggling on the surface, causing commotion and could be a potential meal…plus the ripples and disturbance that the lure makes on top of the water would make it hard for any fish at the bottom to distinguish exactly what kind of animal it is. As long as it seems injured and fits in it's mouth, then to a fish, it's food.

i mean in florida its easy to catch fish on lures like that but here in texas its pretty damn hard to catch fish on lures like that …. catching fish in florida is so easy try coming down to south texas and try caching fish tell me if its easy or not
Fish can't tell the what the lure is. Could be a duck, a frog, a mouse, or gorilla! The shape or silhouette. in the water is what they see. You could paint it solid white or black, The duck,frog, mouse whatever is to catch the fisherman. Enjoyed your Video!

Topwater frogs and ducks I bend the hooks up a little bit as soon as I take them out of the pack.
You should do a survival challenge and you have to camp with only a knife, flint and steel, your fishing gear, and maybe a sleeping bag

Try using boogle bug bass poppers, they are amazing flies to fish for bass
