big baits don't always mean big fish i fish 12inch worms alot for bass have caught fish shorter than the worm several several times same when using big bluegills as baits makes you wonder how they ever managed to get it in their mouths

I am always perplexed by how you fortunate saltwater fishermen "target" a specific species and are disappointed when you catch other good eating or good fighting fish. I live in the Shenandoah Valley and most places here are only populated with a few species and I'm happy catching any fish that are either good eating or good fighting! Don't set yourself up for disappointment go fishing, have fun, and edit your video later to say you're targeting whatever you caught. We won't think less of you man. I just want you to have a good time that I can enjoy vicariously.
BTW you should try rigging a line thru to a treble hook soft jerkbait( I like the zoom super salty fluke) it is an inexpensive way to make a custom bait you can add weight, rattles, scent, whatever you want. It ends up being sort of a combination swimbait – jerkbait you can even make it top water if you want with a light wire hook and a small float

I use to live in C.C. I was just there in June and I caught several nice trout. I'm live in San Antonio right now. The place you are fishing at?? Is that the back side of Oso?? P.S. Definitely like watching your video's. After watching, I feel like packing my gear and heading to C.C.

How effective is lure fishing with circle hooks? Have you ever tried it? I’d like to abandon j hooks all together for the sake of the fish but I’m yet to learn how effective they are?

P.s. Don’t beat yourself up so much for the escapees, it’s part of what makes fishing fun as long as your catching something!
