I don't know if you know it by now. But you can use the fairy ring to Zanaris, there's a bank closeby that you can bank your karambwans. But it's not as efficient as Quest cape, however still viable.
Surely if you don't have a quest cape, it wouldn't be too bad to just glory teleport to edgeville, bank there, use that fairy ring back. I don't see why running through all of Karamja would be faster.

Use the fairy ring after catching them to DKR; brings you right outside the G/E / Edgeville. Just need like..15 agility to go under.

I use the ardy cloak monastery tele, very close to a fairy ring without the quest cape!
