Interesting looking west coast structure, wow guys, definettly achalenge on the fly. Eficiency is the biggest problem I see guys, respectfully, the time you put in to the long distands over head cast and again the time in the retrieve keeping the running line coil free back in the basket ready for the next cast, is just a lot of work and time in only to exercise the casting and not 100% of the time on the fishing. The surf conditions sure is the reason for the lack of any footage on fish hook ups on the video, but also looks it is because few other reasons. I see you can not keep up the retrieve speed with the incoming surf on this clip and the other ones also, the surf conditions the technique and the line rod set up is all that is causing a slack line and lost on the leader control. My suggestion, you to close to the beach lip, not taking advantage on the long stick you are using, them look for a good structure that it moves the water, or the surf white foam on a friendly pattern to place the flies rig, a better wave/surf timing before each cast, short your distance to where you know you will have a full extension on the leader for imediatly have full control over the flies rig, and last, using a two hands retrieve but also give yourself some foot movement by just walking in the same direction your flies are moving during the retrieve, if you do that, on the actual video surf conditions you should get a better leader and flies control on every cast. Other way is the Skagit head system, Im doing that here in the east coast for few seasons now, not much time to explain the technique, but I have a few clips on my chanel that it may help.
    Thank you for the video.
    Great work guys!

Lots of talk but very few info on gears used and setup type. You guys using flies or bait? How about more videos of the fishing action if you can’t go into detail about the type of equipment used?
