Everyone with a snide comment about military spending is forgetting the important fact that it was essentially a training mission for the crews involved. Being precise with time-over-target execution is extremely critical. A matter of life or death during an engagement with friendlies on the ground. There is a very real benefit to doing these types of missions.

"there is nothing cooler then a military fly over. not every completion gets one. it has to be one of the big events".

actually all you have to do to get a fly over is ask for one.

so let me get this straight. spend all this money for a flyover of a stadium that is ENCLOSED and no one can see what is flying over?? not hating, but damn… that is kind of stupid.

Fun Fact: The US Government pays national sports leagues like NFL, NBA, MLB to perform events like this to increase nationalism and patriotism so when they want to go to war more men and women are inclined to join and fight for a meaningless war its kinda like how North Korea has there marches but America is more discreet and would throw it in the middle of big events like the super bowl to create more pride and the sports leagues get good PR because people believe that they are doing this for free but nothing is free hahaha #MindControl2018
