Nice video. I have a question. There are rocks on the bottom of the river I usually fish. Those rocks are covered with thick moss or sort. Fly (Nymph) gets stuck on those rocks often and I lose many flies (Nymph). I use indicator (it floats) with a small split shot for Nymphing. The river is about 1-2 feet deep, and it is just like the river in this video. What is your advice? Thank you.
Am a real novice at this. Â Would appreciate a better understanding of where exactly your casting, ie: where the fly is landing, and why you're casting there. If you can use a pointer in the editing, that would be valuable. Â
Love your videos Mr. Barnes. I've just started getting into fly fishing and fish a lot of small streams. Your videos have provided excellent tips and tricks. You and your camera man capture the essence of fly fishing very nicely and its a pleasure to watch your videos as well. Thanks!
Great video Jonathan. One thing I would do with your videos is subtitles for the parts where there are rapids. It can be a little hard to hear sometimes.Â
Fabulous! Went fishing on our local Lourens River in the Cape yesterday evening but no fish in sight.. Maybe too late at the end of summer now.. Water quite shallow and running softly?
Hey Jon,
Im sitting here studying watching your videos. I'm almost positive last year I walked by that fish and spooked him out from a rock. Exact same spot, looked to be that size! Can't wait to get out there!

The print is so big and vibrant. My brother wears this Fly Fishing t shirt almost every day. It didn't shrink and it's true to American size.
how do you feel the fish bite it if there is slack in the line without an indicator??
Hi
boring is OK
