does anyone else think its completely ridiculous that a group of people can just own/privatize a river? Its bonkers that these people just up and own the rivers and police the fishing.
Ye mentioned about lighter tackle and how it’s fared against decent trout. Tbh I don’t see the need for anything stronger than a #2 for our trout. I’ve a #0 rod and it’s beautiful to fish. Go light, you’ll not look back.
Hello! I'll be in Ireland at the end of August! I can't wait to visit your country and would love to try some fly fishing while I'm there. I'm from Colorado and I'm pretty experienced when it comes to trout fishing. I'm just wondering where I should focus my efforts, I'm going to be flying into Dublin and probably renting a car, I'm thinkin of going from Dublin down to the south east for a day or two of fishing then working my way back up to Dublin. I'd love to hear your perspective as a local and if you're ever in the states and in Colorado I'll definitely point ya in the right direction.
Hi Fisher Mac🤛 Saw your video on southern county fishing and I am excited to learn fly fishing especially on that lake. Can you recommend any fly fishing kit that I can buy that is not expensive but will work well for a beginner? Thanks in advance.
GRAIGUENAMANAGH has an active angling club, permits are available to purchase at the Hub caravan park in the town just down at the river at the bridge and all anglers are welcome to use the permits and enjoy a great days fishing
Quality video man. Im up in fenagh I fish the barrow and slaney a good bit and this is some great advice. The south east rivers are tough and aren't what they used to be. I'd definitely add a copper john to that nymphing line up, been a staple for me the last few years. Are you in any of the clubs?
Hi FisherMac! Greetings from the North. Me and some buddies are planning on doing some hiking in the south with some camping, but we love to fly fish too. Do you have any recommendations which stretches of river to fish? We would be planning our hike around rivers. Any recommendations are welcome, thanks!
Have you fly fished for sea bass ?
I am looking tender of making flyer

Have you fished the River Fergus in Co Clare, there's some fine trout up there , especially the more upriver you go towards the source of the river.
