That was awesome. Last night I criticized you for your lime/lemon juicing technique, this was great though. No criticism. My grandfather was an avid bone fisherman and would be proud. Love the channel
I know she hasn't fly fished before but it almost seems like she's never even conventional fished before. Kudos on catching some bones but I wish the guide would've given you some proper advice that could really help you in the future. You were doing so many things wrong that could be improved on.
I would have assumed one would know how to cast and know what to do when a fish is on before going out to fish for bonefish, but looking like Darcie she can get away with it and even catches one.
Again, not teaching you how to double haul, Captain Charlie says "you are always learning," but how can you learn if they don't teach you? Plus double hauling teaches you how to strip set. You would have hooked your first 2 bones better if you were taught.
Not practicing casting before a FLY FISHING trip might be the stupidest thing ever. Plus the guides Love it when they get you out there and you have no clue what you are doing.
yeah pretty smart fly fishing in a skimpy-ass bikini, one of these days you going to get a hook up somewhere you will not appreciate (if it has not already happened)
This guy has a great attitude about it – seems so many of the top anglers in the world share that critical focus of enjoying what you're doing first and foremost!
the way I have taught kids to fly fish I would tie the fighting butt to there forearm to keep them from flicking there wrist. It's always fun learning new ways to fish.need to get Brian fly fishing.
I wish you would show less skin. my wife does not believe me when I say I am watching for fishing knowledge. But 35 yrs ago I would , let's be nice. great videos.
You did awesome with the fly rod.It takes practice for sure. I practiced for week on the dock before I went out. still no pro, but dang is it addictive!! Your guide is a class act for sure. thanks for sharing your adventures.
Fly fishing is an art. With lots of patience and practice, you will be casting like a pro very soon. You've got this. It is all about the rhythm of your cast.
You did great for a first time fly Fisher!! It's very different than spinning gear, you're actually throwing the line not the lure which is hard to get used to. I'll bet you'll try fly fishing more now, once you try it you're hooked! No pun intended…… great job, keep catching!
That was cool
I think fishing lessons are in order….
Determination, focus, effort, that was a pleasure to watch!

I love how the captain was very patient and encouraging.
I'd be nervous as hell, with Prescott as my guide, you did great. Now do it in Fl. and make Brian do it too.

yes, you do have to learn to strip that would be a video we would all enjoy watching
Dang you really have to have patience to do that kind of fishing.
At least the wind would have kept the biting bugs at bay..
That guide was a great calm teacher and guide!

I wonder how many flys were snapped off that day. it's all in the cast, and it's not easy.

Wish the women who fish where I do would dress like that. Course it might help if I fished for something other than steelhead.

Question for anyone who can help. My fiancé and I are heading back to the Bahamas in a couple of months and plan on doing some bone fishing. Wasn't until today that I figured out we would need to be fly fishing. In doing so, do we need a specific type of rod? Reason I ask is because we planned on buying a telescoping rod. This one to be exact. Would it not work for this type of fishing? Thanks. https://smile.amazon.com/PLUSINNO-Spinning-Telescopic-Saltwater-Freshwater/dp/B01DPFEP16/ref=s9_simh_gw_g200_i1_r?_encoding=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=YDR7YEC0CT85GKVFCW7H&pf_rd_r=YDR7YEC0CT85GKVFCW7H&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=1cded295-23b4-40b1-8da6-7c1c9eb81d33&pf_rd_p=1cded295-23b4-40b1-8da6-7c1c9eb81d33&pf_rd_i=desktop
Oh, and I tip my hat to Capt. Prescott. He sounds like he is a very patient man and at peace.
Well, you did it right. For that kind of fishing you need taught by a knowledgeable fly fisherman.
Okay I have a question, what weight is that flyrod and if you know, what fly were you fishing?
