UPDATE: The prices I am showing here are from a mature economy, and while I believe we will see these prices eventually I am now under the impression we won't see them until Phase 2 or even Phase 3. There are a few things that are killing the market for these fish and recipes, and that is:
1. Economy is still knew, and a majority of players don't have buying power yet. 2. Layering abuse could saturate the market. 3. I could have simply overestimated what we'll see in Classic vs what we saw in Private Servers. (I am human after all.)
There has been positive results reported to me though as more than couple players have shared with me that they are still making enough gold with this guide to pay for their Level 40 mount. Just don't expect the prices I am showing here for a little while. I'm going to continue to evaluate the market on my server and others, and if we don't see a positive change towards what I show here I will update this video with more accurate prices. I apologize for the inconvenience, and happy fishing!
Been a year since I watched this guide and followed your channel. Still trying to fish in peace in classic but ugly dwarfs and humans gank me poor Troll Fisher all the time. I wont give up! Looking forward for BC Content
Hey man, Great viedeo but plz lower the opening volume in that intro music. Its really quiet compared to ur voice and my girlfriend just abt woke up screaming bloody murder hahahah
That's a huge surprise those stonescale eels were going for just 2 gold on my server. I should have bought them out didn't know how important they were
You CAN fish up Firefin and Oily blackmouth WITHOUT special whirlpools. You can fish them up just at a much lower drop rate. I fish those two up all the time with AND without the named whirlpools.
Hi sir! I have found that I am able to fish for oily black mouth even without their pools, and with a fishing level of at least 90 🙂 the spots I have done that are mostly in westfall/gold coast. The rate when not using the pool is lower, but still quite decent! Perhaps 1/4 or 1/5. Perhaps that was an update since the time you posted this video
Oof all of the valuable fish sell for 1-2g50 per stack on my server. It would be more lucrative to follow people around somewhere like blasted lands skinning their kills.
20 Oily Blackmouth, Deviate Fish, or Firefin Snappers go for a couple silver higher than vendor price on my server. I've discovered that literally zero of the farming projections people claimed based on private servers have come to fruition. Best gold farm for a semi-casual or casual player (particularly warlock) is the damn shellfish under the docks at Shadowprey. Guaranteed income as long as you NEVER EVER turn in that "Catch of the Day" quest at Ghostwalker. Once you're big enough to skirt the pats and kill the spawned mobs in 10sec or less, you can easily farm up 10-15g/hr as a warlock with underwater breathing (or anyone with a breathing potion). I hit the sweet spot around level 37 and it's been wicked smooth sailing since. If you don't have underwater breathing, you'll spend more time surfacing and your g/hr will diminish accordingly. An hour a day or a good binge session once a week of this will keep your pockets lined with gold as long as you aren't blowing it on junk. I'll be paying for my alts' mounts with this semi-lucrative business. Again, guaranteed money because you're not relying on the whims of the economy; five shellfish = 50s and you get unlimited turn-ins.
There is a big mistake in this video blackoily and foreign can be caught even if you don't have the school pound. I have catch many if them by fishing for other fishes. Today I just caught 40 blackmouth while fishing to level my cooking.

Awesome video!
Oily Blackmouth can be caught from open coastal water in Darkshore, though. They are not limited to pools.

I bought 800 stonescale eal in phase 2 for 2g each, now they are up for 20g per stack. Will they increase even more phase 5?
Finally the video I was searching for. Congrats man, very well done indeed. Subscribed and liked this video!
stonescale selling for 2g a stack
A stack of Oily Black-mouth goes for 1.5g on Pagle. And a stack of Firefin Snapper goes for less than a gold. Stonescale Eels sell for 4.5g per stack.
i still dont understand why Firesnapper looks exactly like Deviant fish. Like they only change the colors but then dont even change them for all
Stonescale eel selling for 20-30g huh.
More like 2g a stack on arugal.
You sound like the guy from the show How Things are Made.
Wait. Wow has seasons?!
Also Stonescale oil is more importantly used in Greater Stoneshield potions a much used consumable by tanks
oily blackmouth can just be fished out of the rivers in feralas

I like the way you say "cooking".
savory deviate delight actually does provide a buff. A slow fall buff 😛
Man, the Horde economy on my server sucks out loud. I can't get near this price for anything.
Amazing video. I love how straight to the point, calm, informative and entertaining it was.

"Hot Smoked Bass" only sold in "Booty Bay" is an actual quote from your video
