Cool information on stripe bass, wish I had them hear in south Florida. I use the Clouser minnows to catch largemouth, and also catch cichlids every now and then. And I use the Bluewater Softy Minnow from Orvis for butterfly peacock bass, but I caught my last one 2 weeks ago because a 4 pounder ripped up my tippet, and orvis discontinued them.
This was a great video; I’ve fished for them in the salt, both in NY and San Francisco. I’m looking forward to flyfishing for Stripers in lakes. I live in AZ and we have some awesome Striper lakes here, just never tried lakes with flies for Striper.
I caught my first striper yesterday, just a schoolie but I am pretty excited to get into a bigger one. Thanks for the video
They grow slow and live beyound 20+ years, at 30" or 70+ cm they are 7+ years old. C&R this treasure please.
Tom, as usual, provides great advice in an easily understandable presentation. Love watching his videos.
Thumbs up!!!

They look like lots of fun to catch on fly.

Great episode – thank you!!
That’s a cuddlefish, not a squid. Great video otherwise
