I like to take flys from my different boxes an make one small box for the trip. Seem silly the amount of flys people take on the water. But that’s just me.
I owned this pack, I think is is called the Guide pack, I couldn't get on with the strap cutting into my shoulder, neck area 0:12. The strap itself is hard which makes it really uncomfortable. I found the Simms pack is way better in this respect. The smaller Orvis pack is a lot better, which I still have, but again, the strap could do with being made of softer and more flexible material. Then there is the thin stap that clips into the main strap that does not help much, Orvis really needs to redesign the straps on their packs, there is plenty of room for improvement in that respect.
I have this exact pack, and I'd say you have a lot of weight on my back just like you do. How to you deal with all of the weight on your shoulder. It starts getting on my nerves as the day goes on.
"A couple of old ratty flies that i forgot about" man i cant count the number of times ive been digging through my pack and found a fly the hard way. Hahah
A light weight sea to summit towel and a harmonica for down time

Get a new hat and shave while your at it. Lol
Plus fiddleheads on the riverbank.
Not sure how to hold a net. I’m not a fan of Magnetics
To much crap
Clown car of sling packs
Thank you Tom! As a fly fisherman in-training, it's neat to see what others carry. Awesome!
Ha ha! Why do I get the feeling that Tom's the kind of guy that will always fill whatever space is available?
How often do people use a stomach pump on trout to see what they’ve eaten? Is this really necessary??? Get rid of it.
That looks like a familiar stretch of water 😉
Still some room in there for fiddleheads! Get picking!
I love love love this sling pack. Best purchase I've ever made. Thanks orvis!
I like the watch. What kind is it?
