Thank you so much for posting such informative videos! I’m going trout fishing for the first time in about five weeks. We’re going to be fishing in pretty rapid waters, any tips?? I have spinners, ones you recommended, bobbers, split shot weights, and the hooks you recommended. What would be the best fishing method for rapid water trout fishing?? Thank you in advance! New to your channel and have been binge watching all day and I subscribed of course! 💚

Remember that braid is static, contrary to mono and nylon. Therfore using electricion tape behind the knot, just maybe and inch of tape, wil secure the knot to the reel preventing it from moving from behind the spool(?). The way you do it probeably works very well, but for beginners, just use the first knot he showed, and then throw an inch of electic tape. Sorry for bad english. :/

For using a spinner are any weights necessary? I feel like maybe a split shot or two would be good *if needed*. But my only problem is where to put them on the line and how far as well. Also, should any bait be placed on the spinner? Salmon egg? Power bait? If anyone could answer this that’d be great I go fishing soon and want to be prepared as best as possible. Thank you!

Once you put the bobber on then the weights look to be half way down the leader line to the hook. Then with floating bait does that mean it floats back up to the top of the water or does it kind of stay at the same depth as the weights?

I used your bottom setup and couldn’t cast it far at all. Any tips or things to look for? Went maybe 10-15 feet tops. Hook, 2-3 ft leader, swivel then 2 split shots on main line.
