Great video, I've been breeding discus for about 5 years now and in my experience, consistency outweighs accuracy. I definitely find that minimising the amount of water changes you're doing is much more beneficial as those that do daily water changes often experience fluctuations in water parameters, so a 50% change once a week is perfect in my opinion. Domestic discus are actually a lot more adaptive than people think. I know people who have successfully bred their discus at a pH of 7.5 simply due to the parameters remaining at that exact point and not fluctuating all the time
