Hello, you! Thanks for watching! A few addendums:
    1. You can still catch Oarfish, Golden Trout, Loach and Mole Crickets. In the video I point out that these creatures are leaving at the END of May, so this is your last month to catch them… not much point in telling you about fish and bugs that left at the end of April 😀
    2. Scorpions act SLIGHTLY differently to Tarantulas… their spawn mechanics are the same, but they don't 'hop' before chasing you, making them a little tougher to catch. lol, have fun!

So, as it turns out you do not need to fish directly off the pier to catch the Mahi Mahi. I was standing on the shore next to the pier and saw a large fish shadow next to the pier (not infront) and caught a Mahi Mahi.

don't know if anyone's already said this but it's actually not that hard to "create" a scorpion island. it's the exact same as "creating" a tarantula island. just need to catch and release water roaches and have some patience and scorpions will appear 🙂
EDIT: if you're still having trouble spawning scorpions it's probably because there's mole crickets around. i just found out about them myself.

Wait… that’s what that sound was??? A mole cricket??? I’ve been so confused every time I walk around my island at night, I thought the cricket was just ambience!!

Great video. I would like to add that scorpions aren’t completely identical to tarantulas. Spawn rate? Yes. But scorpions won’t jump then run at you. They will just sprint towards you without giving you time to react. Unless you tiptoe your way towards it lol

I honestly did not know that the cricket was an actual thing in the game… I literally thought the annoying chirping was just part of the ambient sounds
