My dad bought a silstar graphite composite rod when he was 15 he is now 47 and I still use that rod for trout fishing but this year I broke the top ten inches off this year so I will need to get a new rod that rod was the best ima try to get the same number one
There is a reason why they are CHEAP. The price and the reels are very attractive. But you are actually throwing money in the trash. it might 30-100 bucks. but 30 bucks is still money. Better to save that 30 bucks, work harder and buy something that last longer.
not a bad combo.. for beginners..i personally dislike those type of reels with that style drag..when i first started fly fishing i had 2 or 3 just like that.. after 3 or 4 5 pounders they are shot.. a few steelhead n ill bet that it would be added to the collection of half spent reels..i wish i never wasted my money on cheap gear..even at 130 its overpriced. a rod like that is dirt cheap n heck u can find that style reel on ebay for 15 20 bucks..for a person trying the sport for the first time..could be a decent kit.. thumbs up brother. just my opinion

Any recommendation for a 7-8wt 9’ rod? Trying to spend under 350 but want the best rod I can buy for that amount
