I also use pebbles for fishing weights as ecological and pocket friendly weights. But I put them in piece of used woman nylon stockings and tie a half hitch on either side. If (when) weight gets stuck between rocks, stocking tear and pebble fall out, or the weak link to stocking brake. Great videos. Good fishing to all.
elastic bands are free—-just follow your postman. Not sure how well the hot melt glue would hold if your casting hard…could be a dodgy missile if it comes adrift. Not a problem if your fishing secluded areas off the rocks. Have had idiots casting over our heads on a mackerel rock mark at Moelfre beach Anglesey. Spark plugs ok but not always heavy enough. Used to strip big bolts of cars before I scrapped them. Anyone made concrete weights?
I've used the rock method once for float fishing as I forget my shots caught my first trout using it I fought I was mad but why go home when you can use your initiative. keep this channel going best fishing show about. Graeme, you are brilliant, I've love to meet you.
Like Z Worm I also vote for spark plugs. Attach them to a three way swivel with light line (as a leader) When the plug gets caught in the rocks the light line breaks away saving your rig. I really like your channel. If you are ever in the USA come fish with us and let us introduce you to Mississippi River blue Catfish.
SDS 5mm drill bit + stone = 14oz boat weight. I'm thinking of changing the tip ring of my fladen sea range 50lb med action rod so that the force isn't being applied by the insert (narrow) to the braid.
love the stones idea!!! As for the elastic bands, Ive been using my daughters hair bobbles for ages now cos I keep snapping the line holders off my reels
Graham I'm sorry I have to complain but the shot of you at the start of the video standing with framed photographs behind you of sharks and other fish hoisted up dead is a horrible sight it's like a wall of death. I appreciate it was many years ago but it's still a sad sight you frequently have billfish trophies in sight in your videos too. Not very savvy in my opinion if you had a stuffed lion or Tiger would you show it to the world. I don't think so. Big game fish deserve the same respect
Mate I've used elastic bands round my reels and rolls of fishing line for YEARS and never thought to put a knot in it and boy is it a shit to try and get a grip of …. Thanks for that one Graeme
Graeme I use old Sparkplug's for rock fishing they free and work well just clean them with lemon juice and hot water and can get hundreds of them from the mechanics
got to pull you up graham ,its the UK not england unless wales ,scotland ,ireland have harder running fish than england does ?
How can you tell what size roller guide replacements to buy?
WHy not drill the rocks?

I used to use spark plugs off the rocks. Peen down the gap end and tie! Garages give them away. Great Vids!
Are you guys only doing sea water fishing videos now?
