We used to catch tarpon off the piers in NC. The only difference was we used rods like the game has to hold weights, then we slid down blue runners as baits that were attached to big ole 6/0 reels that were paired with 4-5ft fighting rods. Think Marlin fishing rods. The tarpon that come through our area were just done spawning up north so they pushed 150-250lbs. About an hr to 3 hour fight if you hook one. The bad thing is if you do hook it and reel it in it generallly dies because of how much energy they use. Watching them leap out of the water to attack bait is amazing though.

We also catch drum on light tackle. That’s an adrenaline rush. My personal best drum is 33”. Was caught the night before I big hurricane hit. My buddy has a citation for catching a citation length drum. I believe his was 48-52”

The game is called fishing planet which really doesn’t fit the game because you can only fish in the United States, I’d like to see them add other countries and maybe even deep sea fishing
