For me using energy for farming is useless. until you got better tools. i only farm to contribute as seasons event so i plant one thing every seasons and fancy fertilize it everyday. Aiming better tools will require you less energy like super pick, axe, and watering can only use 1 energy/action. also having animals not so profit enough unless you have a better stars so you need to feed your animals with animal food so you can reach 4-5 stars on 4th season.
Some tips… when you fish… it will eventually "alert" the fish and make it longer and longer for next fish to bite… changing location did not reset that… even changing maps… to reset that you can NAP !!!… make sure you nap before 30 minutes so you only nap for half hour. Ex: 1:29 will Make you nap to 2:00 while 1:30 will make you nap to 3:00…
