Democracy and politics is the unfair way of getting money, power and whatever other thing you want. You cant agree that theft is wrong if you defend taxes. You cant opose dictatorships if you defend I should be taken to jail if I dont let you take my money to fund your education. People who defend capitalism because they would benefit more from it migth defend communism the same way. And yes, there will always be people with more money then others. That doesnt mean they can be robbed.

This is the main point of argument I have with people of about politics. Surface level policy reflects underlying core beliefs. If some one has wholly different political views than you, its because they have a wholly different world view. Debate is often just an impasse.

Conservatives think the left wants to take power and install their own hierarchy because that is the only reference point they have to draw from, i.e. their own desire to prop up a hierarchy where they can keep imagining they too will become wealthy just like the "successful" billionaires they appear to worship. Any form of actual democracy is then seen by conservatives as an "evil" simply because it threatens this propped up hierarchy in which they can have masturbatory fantasies about becoming a shark. This is all incredibly ironic considering how many conservatives claim to be christian despite their own mentality being antithetical to what Christ taught.
