Everyone is so convinced that the Farmington is great trout fishing. In my experience it is mediocre at best and is over fished. Most of the fish are stocked annually.
back in the 80s waaaay less pressure although today i still fish with a spinning rod and throw rapalas in the legal areas ofcourse.. if u want BIG BROWNS think big daaaam i need my own fishing show i should have a catch big browns on the farmington lol torrington born n raised
I can remember back in the late 70s early 80s the Hitchcock chair company would give a chair to the biggest trout caught, the river used to be lined with fishermen, it looked like pictures I've seen of the Salmon and Pulaski rivers in NY, do they still have this contest today?
