Looks like a great fly. Have you tried using a slightly stronger/bigger front shoulder to give it slightly more of an umbrella shape thereby increasing the profile and apparent size? None of this may be necessary if this works. 🙂 You’ve clearly got more river time that I do. I’m just curious about the bigger size. The intruder’s whole point is a large presence with apparent translucence. This may be more a big deal for Steelies and not trout. Thanks for sharing. I’m going to tie up some of your patterns and see how these Colorado trout like them. Make it a great day.

Hi. What would be the smallest outfit to fish something this size? Would a 6 weight Wulff Ambush manage it? Or would I need a single hand skagit or heavier? Beautiful tying and well timed and presented. Thanks for posting

Very well presented Dave! Good camera angles, clear images, well tied with calm, detailed instructions – great stuff!! Liked and Sub'd! I fish the local warm-water watersheds and this will be a great fly for smallmouth bass. Thanks for posting! Hank
