@Willie Maynard I'm not from Ireland so I'm not sure if there are any restrictions based on type of gear used on rivers, etc. However, I am sure you can use a Tenkara rod on any number of the streams you have there. If you go to discovertenkara.com, just starting reading the free tuition they have available there about techniques. Their free email tutorials are top notch and will actually help you transition from rod-and-reel to tenkara-style fishing quite effortlessly.
Can anyone give me info of Tenkara in Ireland? I live in N.Ireland and am wanting to get into Tenkara fishing. I fly fish but Tenkara is more appealing to me. So any info on others using this Technique and rivers they are fishing on with this technique would be reeeeallllly helpful. Thanks a lot guys…. and girls.
