Thanks for the Video Mark. I am going to try to refurbish a fly rod for my brother in law. I have it stripped down and sanded. I am state side and having a hard time finding bondaseal locally. are there any alternative varnishes you would recommend that might be better available in the states? do you know anything about permagloss or cpxtra rod finishes? would they work the same? Thanks

What type of varnish did you use? I’m thinking of using polyurethane water base to varnish. What’s your thought

Does the methylated spirit affect the rod blanck or not I have a zziplex to rebuild and I took the varnish off and I want to clean it properly.
If you're just taking the guides off, is there still need to varnish the whole blank? If you're leaving the reelseat and grips on?

did you get very small bubbles on the blank from using the foam brush I tried 2 times know and still get them
Have you applied the varnish one ☝️ time or two ✌️times
