I posted a video about my horrible southeast crappie fishing experience in georgia and alabama i just can never succeed so im looking into magic arts to try to succeed as well. My problem is my people are real controlling and dont want me going to oklahoma or arkansas though i lived there for 9 years in that area. I think im going to sneak around and go to oklahoma and buy a fishing license and just get my butt beat and chewed out for going or driving 16 hours to crappie fish in northern oklahoma near Bartlesville. I plan to try to pick up a flathead out of the caney river and some blues out of copan lake ill most likely hit cotton creek a wonderful crappie place because of parking i may gave to walk 5 miles foot to fish cotton creek near Caney Kansas. Creel limit where im going is 37 per person per day crappie all, grand and hudson is 10"minimum copan had no size limit Hulah did me well and pond creek at whipporwill i had some luck. Im not looking for trophy crappie i just want 4 or 5 to have a meal and in georgia and alabama i tried nearly 2 years. The area of grand lake you mentioned has sone beautiful frontage just on Grand its a 10"minimum and 15 limit last time i fished it for crappie. I wish y'all better luck than ive had on crappie
They nolonger have crappie in Georgia so im fixing to drive 16 hours to oklahoma and have some success after nearly 2 years i have tried to catch crappie in Weiss in alabama many lakes in Georgia and hard and not even seen anyone anywhere catch a crappie but copan and cotton and hulah are in my sights i have never fished illinois but oklahoma and Arkansas i did well so im headed to osage plains copan oklahoma soon
I’ve caught crappie for over 40 years and I’ve never heard of a hybrid crappie. What are they a cross with and hybrid don’t reproduce so who puts them in the lakes?? Loved the videos. We have 3lbs crappie in our county lakes in south Alabama. I’ve caught them in pike county lake before. I usually fish lake Eufaula near abbeville Al at Thomas mill creek. A lot of crappie up there and I mostly night fish. Great video 👍👍
Lake Woodruff in DeLand Florida is a fantastic lake for crappie. Give it a shot in the winter or late fall and you will not be disappointed. A lot of big crappie.
Lake D'arbonne in North Louisiana is the ONLY place I fish for crappie. Beautiful lake with beautiful laid back people. Good show Scott. Thanks for doing what you do. Always fun to watch and very insightful.
