The jigs you talked about I don`t use
I use the round unpainted swim bait for plastics
All so the swim bait jig head for plastics along with the dart head range in size from 1/32 to 1/4 ounce
So I figure got all the bases covered all types of plastics from A- Z in shapes and size

First of all, i love your jig videos, very very intuitive and helpful. I subscribed to your channel and am on TW now to order some dirty jigs. The Dobyns rod is out of my price range, if you could sum up the specs for an all around jig rod , What would they be? Im looking to stay in the $100-$150 range. Price is part of the reason for one rod, fishing from a kayak is the other, cant carry a bunch of rods as i already carry others for different baits. i want to hit jigs really hard this year, so my question is…. what type of rod, medium or medium heavy, tip fast or mod fast etc.. thanks in advance, and keep up the awesome work on the videos, you guys are my go to for instructional videos.

Just wanted to say I recently wanted to learn more about jigs and watched this video several times and then bought the jig and trailer combos you suggested in this vid. I then went out and I slayed about 8 bass in a matter of an hour or so fishing the Dirty Jigs Pitchin' Jig in "The Go To" color paired with the Sweet Beaver in Dirty Wizard last week when I found a school of bass that didn't want anything to do with my drop shot. I caught a few 3lbers and a 4lber that hammered the jig and trailer combo. This is the best jig fishing guide ever!

Just saw your winter top water video. You spoke of no fishing in winter. Fish riprap at night in November and especially December. Use dim black lights in clear water with flourecent line. Close to sun lit riprap during day. Rocks heat surface temp and draws all kinds of bait. Big Bass will show up. Hang on. Use jigs. 3/16. 5/0 owner hook with tip bent out slightly. Catch biggest bass. I caught 4 weighed 33.2 pounds

I think my favorite Dobyns rod is a 735 mag heavy. It's a great frogging rod and jig rod. Great backbone. Fast action(although dobyns fast action is a little softer compared to other companies in my experience). Plenty of leverage. All my Dobyns rods are Sierras and Savvys but one day I'll pull the trigger and upgrade to Champions XPs. I don't need the Extreme rods, although I'm sure they're amazing.
