If any of you are new to this, definitely the point about keeping a log is great advice. I've done this for about 6 weeks now and it works really well because you can actually see the GP you've made in profit whereas in game you spend/make money all the time so it's hard to keep track of what you've actually made just from flips. I find that motivating to do more. Along with that, I also keep track of my herb runs, kingdom and daily battlestaves just to see how much profit I make per day/run etc. If you use a simple Excel spreadsheet you can easily keep track.
touching on how youtube does not like the word flipping. it seems to be just how to categorizes videos and the majority of flipping videos are of people doing physical flips, using the word merch helps to categorize better. this is just a guess tho, anyone have real knowledge?
new to the game, if it sells to the highest bidder, but when you buy something it buys from the lowest seller, how does that work? does it meet in the middle or something
I don't think that's how the GE works. I'm pretty sure it can't possibly go to the highest bidder and lowest seller because if I'm selling any item I've never seen it sell for MORE than what I put in to the GE, idk maybe I'm wrong but something doesn't sit right with me about the "highest bidder, lowest seller."
Struggling with having the patience to flip. I'll price check an item, buy at the lower price then offer them at the higher price. Then they won't sell for like 2 or 3 days and I don't have much money to let sit in the GE like that. Any advice? Am I doing something wrong? I just started doing this a few days ago. Only messing with high volume items currently since I don't have much money to play with.

how necessary do you feel having an alt is for this? seems like a pain having ge slots taken up all of the time, hahah.

Managed to make 1k per helm on rune full ts in f2p but the margins too small now to bother rip gr8 guide tho:))
