Hi Cory i have a tank with 15 full size tiger barbs that i have had for about a year, i bought 13 green juvenile tiger barbs about the size of a dime i just added 6 of them to the tank with the full grown orange and black barbs tank today ,do u think i will have a problem will the full size ones kill the small ones. They seem to be ok for the couple of hours they have been in the tank before the lights shut off for the evening .I have the remaining 7 green barbs in another cycled tank that i would also like to add tomorrow that would give me a total of 15 orange barbs and 13 green barbs ,i did notice when i added some flakes it was a little hard for them to get at it because the large barbs were much quicker ,i added some small pellets and they were able to get to eat some them. Thanks for all the great videos and info that u produce, my tank is an all tiger barb tank except and 3 nerite snails , by the way your tiger barb tank is just amazing , awesome seeing them school like that is really kool.

Just found your channel and subbed! I had these fish years ago man they come a long way. They have sooooo many variations wow! So my experience with them back then was, they were like bullies chasing and nipping . They are agressive for sure. They are stunning as a group though love them haha.

UGH Glo Fish Tiger Barbs !!! My wife loves glo fish but I personally don't like the genetic messing around with anything nature be it fish, birds, animals of any kind, JUST my personal opinion peeps, please don't hate on me, I do love the Tiger Barbs naturally though, very lovely indeed, great video Cory and very informative please keep educating us more, can not thank you enough.

I have 6 of them. They are with a lone Blood Parrot (which I see you have them as well with the Barbs). I got the Blood Parrot First and she established it as her tank. Once the Barbies came out of QT and went in with her, she quickly put them in their places. There's zero fighting or aggression in the tank. The barbs don't even fight amongst one another. Not even at feeding times. My tank is a 55 gallon btw.

When adding tiger barbs to a newly cycled tank how many should I add at a time and how often can add to their numbers? Don’t want to overload the tank too quickly

Great video once again! Just wondering have you ever heard of anyone mixing Tiger barbs with red bellied pirahna? Ive done it myself and they've done really well with the pirahna but I've seen very little info online about it.

Just out of interest sake do you ever feel as if the amount of water used in the aquarium hobby is concerning. I have a 150gallon clown loach tank and I do a 50% water change per week. I can't help but feel bad because of the current water shortages in the world atm. I would really appreciate it if you responded.

I have 4 in my 30 gallon. They share it with two blue gouramis, a sailfin pleco and a rainbow shark. Absolutely no problems. I'm not saying you're wrong, but you're not completely right either. Or maybe I'm just lucky

I really love tiger bards but mine kept picking on one of the group until i removed it then they would just pick on another one of the group and so on why are they doing this

This is a fun fact or pro top not a care guide. I understand reading things off that I can just wiki is really something you avoid but even some basic facts alongside this would make it more of a guide.

Interesting video, I have 7 tiger barbs in a 55 gal with 2 gold barbs, 2 rosy babs, 3 australian rainbows and an assortment of loaches. Everybody gets along fine, they get along wonderfully for the 5 years it's been running, barbs are very fun fish to have.

    Tiger Barbs are overrated

Go for Puntius Nigrofasciatus / Black Ruby Barbs (females kinda look like Tiger Barbs while males when in breeding mode they go black with some red)

This fish is even more resilient than a Tiger Barb.. 3 times more friendly with other fish (I once kept Ruby Barbs with a Betta.. his fins were always fine.. no fins ripped).. they get along with a lot of other fish if you provide at least 5-6 Ruby Barbs for a group

I have 7 tiger barbs with Tanganyika cichlids. They do great. There are also 5 mollys. Lots of plants, but no problems nipping. The mollys are more active than the barbs. They are in a 36 Bowfront.

Hi Cory, nice video about tiger barbs, thank you for that attention on these great barbs. I started again to keep some. I said again because in the past, i kept several of it around 7 to 8 tiger barbs but for a different reason other than leasure. I used them to naturally cure a fish lice infestation in my koi pond. The result was so good, after 2 weeks all the lice were eradicated and of course my barbs became fat and with an improved coloration. With that experience, barbs became a main stay in my tanks. ( the idea came from one of our local petshops in my area).
