Once I figured out the line wouldn't break if I moved the pole up and down, I never had to freeze the line and possibly snap it. Seemed like the fish kept taking my line out further with each moment of fighting. 20 minutes later I've gotten nowhere when, at one time, I nearly pulled him in to the bank where I was fishing from. This was my first legendary fish attempt. Finally got him in about 3 minutes or less.
Caught this fish in less that 5 secounds. You don't need to cast out far cast out as short as you can and reel very slowly. Literally as soon as the fish took the bite it went into the little cutscene of him picking it up. I didn't even have to reel it in. I've done this for most Legendary fish!
First the train came so I had to cut the line quickly, then the bounty hunters came and again I had to cut the line. Finally I thought I caught this monster but it was a 18 pound gar instead lmao. Got it eventually but this game is insane.
I cought this fish and then did the second mary quest. Se sits on the back of your horse in that quest and now my fish is gone anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?
I FINALLY got it! After almost three in game days i gave up, did some missions and when i was in the area tried and got it on My 3rd throw. What i learned from My experience is, SWITCH SPOT, use Eagle eye and try max 15 Times then take a break from it and Come back later and do the same thin. Im so Happy i finally got My first legendary fish!!!
This game blows, caught the fish in boat, game sends me to a little island, can't get on boat with fish, can't swim with fish. For how good the game is this literally killed my enjoyment level. Such a terrible terrible feature. What the fuck were they thinking.
OMG! NOOO! I was fishing in that spot not knowing i was fishing on the train tracks. I was reeling my fish in and it was very close to the shore until i hear the train coming. I Did not get my fish because i cut the line. I got scared of the train running me over. When i cut the line, I see my White Arabian horse on the track too😁🤣😂 I ran to save her, But it was too late. The train pushed my horse into the swamp. She did not suffer. She died instantly. I just maxed her 5 mins ago😢😭😪 I jumped in the water just to see if i can do something. Im a NOOB💯🤦🤷

Why did the symbol of the fish in the map not apppear with a cross on it even when you caught it?
Caught it 1st try… Thx! Also got lucky and actually snagged him close to the RR tracks, so only had to reel twice and pulled him in quickly.

To catch fish easily just flick the left analog stick up and down and reel it in at the same time.
Funny that the legendary sturgeon is only 46lbs.. monster sturgeon can grow to over 8ft long and weigh around 300lbs…

My stugion took the bite right near the edge of the rails and it was reeled in after one fight probably the easiest catch I've done on a legend
