    A good back cast is crucial….It should be a mirror image opposite of the forward cast. A good back cast is nothing more than a setup for a good forward cast….if you can achieve a tight back cast loop it will almost always rebound into a great forward casting loop. Also, for newbies, I recommend a bright colored fly line, at least on the casting yard as it will be easier to see your back cast so you can examine what you are doing wrong or right!
