Great fish! My wife is trying to drag me back to Michigan (from Colorado), these anadromous fish look fun to chase. I'm gonna miss 50+ fish days trout fishing in the west though, I think. See ya on the river in a couple years.
I always see your truck with the into the wild sticker on the back parked at a certain river up the road from my house, but I cant ever manage to do as good as you guys…
in the Upper Peninsula it is well known to never name rivers. I would never sell out the U.P. which I love and protect to the best of my ability. The rivers here need to be protected. Naming a river here, over the net would be an incredibly moronic move.
Yes, many rivers across the U.P. become tannic due to broken down organic materials (plants etc). This is common with rivers that have cedar trees near the river.
What a MONSTER!

Thank you Wis Fly. It is still my personal best. Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks! It's the only way I fish.

that river color is incredible. I've fished the PM which has an interesting color to it as well. Is this common around there?
