I never thought about using a guide.Ā Since I am going back east later in the year for several weeks in the Carolinas I might try a guide if I can get time to go fish.
Good video that really sheds some light into what to expect andĀ how to choose the right guide by asking the right questions. It also shows how a guide kind of thinks. I liked that is stated to call the guide and really talk to him and not just book online like a vacation trip. Thanks!
Great info Justin and Glen. Going to Table Rock Lake this summer …think it might be a good investment for a long trip. Thanks for the insights. it would be a good way to drown some Rage tails! lol
I've never hired a guide but would definitely do so if I was looking to fish a lake often that I've never been to before. Though, hiring one to see what I don't know would be good too! Great advice…thanks.
Great video. I've been fishing with a guide once. I didn't do my homework on the guide and the day left me wanting more. I'll do my homework next time. Thanks for the tips.
Great info… my experience is the more (bigger) you tip early the better (more and bigger) fish he will have available for you to catch.. after all, they make their living ($$$$) by putting you on fish you cannot find yourself. The more $$$ they make… the better your fishing will be… Just MY experience….. from years back.. . haven't needed to hire one in 25 years….
I have never used a guide but I can see how helpful one could be,especialy on a strange lake. Probubly learn some new techniques and where to go. Cost more then I can justify.
Good vid on guides. Like a lot of guys on here I rarely use them, but I do get one when I have family in from out of town. It helps a ton when you have guests that want to go "catching" rather than fishing. Guides can get you new places with better results faster.
Great advice, I've been pondering hiring a guide service to show me things about my local lakes that I don't know about. This definitely gives me some things to consider.
Great tips. I've used guides when first going to an area that I've not fished and plan to fish for a lengthĀ of time (several days) . I've foundĀ local bait shops have good recommendations for guides.
can you hook me up with a phone number for Dean?
Caught a Largemouth limit on rage craws this last Saturday! Great bait right now in the South!
I use a lot of Rage Baits where I fish because of all the grass cover at the bottom and usually have a lot of luck.
nice veodeo

Hiring a guide would be amazing to learn more about fishing, and to be able to fish from a boat.
