This is the worst hook removal I have ever seen… Coud have done a bether Job myself! The way he cut the hook makes it way wors to remove it and you can't noe fore sure know how the hook is plased in the thumb…

So I hooked my a while back with 2 of the hook of a treble right below the knee.  One of the hooks was almost came out, so that one I was able to push it and clip the barb…one down one to go…the second one was way deeper and no matter how much I pushed on it, it wouldn't come out…so I tried the braided line technique, where you wrap the line along the arc of the hook, pray you don't pass out, count to 3 and pull!!! no I didn't pass out hook came out, now I have this 2 lovely circle scars on leg!!!

One time I had the same thing happen on my middle finger we just caught the first fish of the day and it was a keeper but swallowed it so I had him in a livewell then he started thrashing around and it hurt so I grabbed a towel and bit down on it and pulled the barb through crimped it and pulled it back out I was in pain but still Kept fishing

Looks like he pulled it through instead of removing it. Never cut hooks unless the barbs already through or very close to coming through. If he had removed the treble from the lure he would have been able to figure out the direction easier and less painful to pull out
