You need to fish the surf of Virginia's Barrier islands. Its not that far from you and you can catch BIG red drum in the spring and fall. You can stay on Chincoteague island and fish the surf on Assateague island, or rent a skiff in Wachapreague and go out to the barrier islands there and fish. Tons of good surf fishing on Virginia's Eastern Shore.
