Great video. Noticed a couple of Rainbow trout in he video. Just a friendly reminder to all of us who love Yellowstone Park Cutthroat, please keep and eat any Rainbow trout where it is legal…see Park regs. Fly fishers can really help protect the native Cutties in Slough creek, before they hybridize.
Well till 9/11 my work would always end around the first week in Sept and I would always hit Slough Creek on the way home for the Season, nobody around nice weather, and lots of trout!! I would spend up to 21 days in the area before heading home and to my fall and winter work!
COME ON!! I recognize every inch of your cool videologe. Fished 1 & 2 many times, never 3… (alone… nope). I love that high bank across the #2 spot you fished. Crossed over to get the angles and ran that bank many times to get to the bend to slide down the hill into the silt to let them go.. Weeeooooooh. Thank you for bringing back such beautiful memories. That big rock right at entrance to number to on river looking down 20ft…. Never seen Cutthroat that big, Looked like Pike.. 🙂
I am speechless! Excellent in every aspect, a man and woman enjoying a GREAT experience together and from start to finish!! The Bison herd was spectacular ingeniously filmed! Both of you are excellent flyfishermen on Slough Creek, well done!! I seriously look forward to following up on your future productions. Thank you again!
Some wonderful fish in that stream…fished in 2006. Took big dries all day..

Fished Slough Creek first in 1966 and three more times, last 1972. Still wish I could get back there one more time.

Great trip, reminds me of my Lamar 5-day trip a couple years back! Read about it in High Country Angler.
