You need to take the line off the clip once you have cast out otherwise your likely to loose your rod in the water on a take!. You can use a line marker to mark where the line is meant to hit the clip then cast out, reel back in till you see the mark in the same place ) i usually go for the butt ring) then clip it back up.
Anyone know how/when to use the clip on my greys prodigies? ( the little one near the handle).
