An update rendered all of this information obsolete. Hotspots now move every 30 minutes, are much smaller, are now completely randomly placed, and are very obviously marked with jumping fish and seagulls flying around (you seriously cannot miss them if you see them). Thanks for the video MFPallytime, we will all miss the Velia hotspot =(

I am assuming you bought all that extra inventory space, but there was stilll some locked space in your bag. So when you buy it with pearls that just makes your bag bigger not unlock the space?

Cool video, I like how put a positive spin on it, because for me, fishing hotspots are something I HATE…with a passion. You see for me, fishing was a great way to explore, it was a great way to level a life skill and get some good silver early on, and a great way to chill. I fished for a good 30-40 hours before hearing about these hot spots, I was on the leaderboard for fishing (27th or something) and it was fun, but then i went and tried a hotspot and ..yeah, the rewards were far greater than what I was making previously ( I can't /NOT/ catch a fish bone or rusted hook and be ok with it now hehe). It wasnt exploring, it wasn't relaxing and it became extremely frustrating to see afk fisher out levelling me and making more silver, etcetera.

So, I lost a lot of enjoyment, personally. I know the majority just care about the silver but yeah, thats my take on it. now i focus on trading but dont look at the leaderboards hehehe
