I recently stopped along The highway and caught and released 30 brook and brown trout under a bridge along rte. 395 in NE California. Also keep a 4 PC fly rod in the golf bag. Bass and crappie along with a few of my golf balls in the water hazard along hole #11.
I am lucky because where I live there is a lake in town, and a creek that flows through the entire city coming from the Black Hills. Good trout fishing everywhere, in fact just this morning I was fishing maybe 20 minutes from my house, just off the road, and had a wonderful time. Wonderful video

Here in Europe we do not see carp as game fish but coarse fish just like roach rudd tench bream chub and so on
