I am around 54yrs old , I was given a fly rod many yrs ago as a gift. Over the past few years I have enjoyed so much watching people making flies on utube and have given it ago myself. I am going to watch all your instructional video's and give it ago this next coming year.. This first video is easy to watch, but the most important thing to me is the person doing the talking….your doing good Thank you.
"I'm not going to lie to you and tell you it's the easiest thing you've ever done……" PERFECT copy while the young man in the video got his fly stuck in a tree behind him! couldn't have planned it better ORVIS. : ) @ 21:49
I took up flyfishing because all we have are trout here, well whitefish too but they're in the salmon family. I live beside a very good river for smallish brown trout, i think flyfishing is far far better at river fishing than a spinning rod. Oh and 80% of the fishing spots here have a bait ban.
my grandfather taught me when I was 10 I'm now 38 and I'm so thankful for him teaching me this great tradition
As the host is saying "Fly fishing is not the easiest thing to do", (21:52) the little guy is getting caught up. That was great.

Nice but – I personally would never dare teach anybody in fly-casting without protecting sunglasses.
Those girls in the beginning had such an easy time catching there first fly fish????
