Just started fishing two weeks ago. Caught my first fish and I’m hooked (pun intended) Video was super helpful. Caught 8 bass in 3 trips thanks to the video!
Great video laying out the info in a nicely structured way, have fished for years but mainly fly fishing, now have the desire to start with bass and panfish, mainly bank fishing but may invest in a kayak. I am 67 and reasonably active, any thoughts?

Everyone says how advanced you need to be to use a baitcaster, but I learned solely on one and they make the most sense to me. Don’t see what the issue is. Don’t be scared to try!
The Texas rig is what I caught my first bass on it. I have a question for you I was out today fishing with a jig but was not able to get a good hook set the weed guard was a little long and hard I was using a medium heavy fast action with 17 pound fluorocarbon
