Great stuff man! I just got back from college in Montana where I taught my self to fly fish and I’ve been looking for some places to try that are similar and your videos have been very helpful, keep up the good work!
Thanks! Awesome content! Do you ever fish the big water (a.k.a. the main part of the lake)? Me and my brother are obsessed with this lake. We've had good (20 fish) days, and days where we've gotten blanked. Our best is is a 27" rainbow but we struggle to find them consistently. Would love to hear your thoughts! Hitting spinney in a boat here soon
Man, this is a terrible look… It's ironic you talk about how to respect the fishery, when this videos shows the exact opposite. Blatantly fishing directly over the redds, ON CAMERA nonetheless. Just because this is legal, doesn't mean it's right. There is no amount of justification that makes this right in anyway. I cannot believe your subscribers in this comment section justifying it, perhaps if they really knew what was going on they would change their mind. Can you imagine how much better this summer fishery would be if these fish weren't flossed all spring in the entirety of the Homestake channel? Do you know by posting this video you are showing your followers this behavior is acceptable? Your methods of "catching" them are amateurish and unprofessional – Did you know you can catch huge fish in this lake LEGITMATELY, and NOT in the Homestake Channel? I implore you to ask yourself these questions, and do better. Then again, the fact that you would even post a video like this, makes me realize you may not be capable of answering them anyways.
I'm sure you won't reply, or this comment will be deleted. But when you see this, just know that posting a 10 minute video pillaging trout when they are at their most vulnerable makes you look like a giant imbecile.
Video should be called “ teaching beginners how to unethically destroy redds and spawning fish.” The whole “Ditch” is a redd. They aren’t “crushing”looking for food….they are trying to g to reproduce and ole “white back” has been posted 10 times. 😒😒
That canal shrinks down to 2 or 3 ft wide and they used to let people fish it ,I've fished it on the hill leading down towards the reservoir but back then lots of people did
Fished spinney right after it opened to the public, 10 pound cutthroat, rainbow and browns seamed endless. Dave faucet would sell tackle out of his motor home then built spinney mtn camp ground. Those were awesome days 20 to 50 fish a day anywhere 4 ,5 lbs average. And plenty of big fatties
I was out there yesterday during the snow and some huge wake was following my 4 inch rainbow fly. I couldn’t make out what it was. I wonder if it was a pike
Cool video, surly you don’t consider this Stillwater fishing, your just taking advantage of vulnerable spawners, would love to see you get on some fish that are healthy and looking to eat rather than dodge flies all day and in critical condition in need of a meal
Thank you for watching!
I wanted to share a few video ideas I currently have on the drawing board for Keam’s Catch:
Priority
🎣 Night Fly Fishing for Giants
🎣 Frying Pan River
🎣 Yarn Indicator Setup
🎣 Hopper Dropper Setup
🎣 Cheesman Canyon Upper Dam Section
Considering
🎣 Uncompahgre River
🎣 Rio Grande River
🎣 Gore Creek (Vail)
🎣 Eagle River
These are some of the videos I’m most excited about right now, but I’d love to hear what you want to see most.
If there’s a river, tactic, setup, or fly fishing topic you really want me to cover, let me know below.https://www.youtube.com/s/gaming/emoji/7ff574f2/emoji_u1f3a3.png
Solid video. I’ve fished spinney multiple times and the dream stream. Absolutely gorgeous country
Woe
4:40 what is that hook?
Which is more productive this time of year the Dream Stream or Spinney Canal? Will be there for the first in a couple weeks. Great video.
Thanks for the great video. Is Spinney best for fly fishing? I'm new to fishing in Colorado and only have a spinning reel and pole.

Do fish still cruise around here in late may/early June?

Great video !
Is this recent? I plan in going this week
I’m sorry but fishing with 20 people in one section really takes away any want to go here
Awesome video, thanks for the info!
Unethical as it gets… Blasting fish off reds is blasphemy lol oh Colorado
