Where I'm fishing for salmon they aren't eating you're only even getting hits on sacks is because they see it as another males attempt at breeding so they grab it to keep it out of the gene pool
It's kind of funny. Is showing us how to use a spoon effectively yet didn't get a bite or catch a fish lol. I know. I know you can spend hours and not get a bite. But you're making a video here of how good your technique is. You think you would include actually catching a fish lol

I have been fishing with spoons and daredevils for many years. I use the low cast skipping technique, like skipping a flat stone acros the top water. At waist level, swing, release the line, and one, two, three, boom! Fish on! Black and White spoons kick more ass. Red and white, silver and green, or any shinny colors, take no skill at all to catch any fish in that pond, or river. It looks like a shinner/shad and fish, especialy Bass, have no restraint when they see it. Hit those waters in the early morning.
No wonder I gave up on spoons YEARS ago because I was fishing them woefully wrong. Now I know why my Dad's and Grandfather's tackle boxes I have now, are full of different spoons. Thanks for the lesson.
i think spinners is the most versatile lure for shallow and fast moving water… i keep my spoon for deeper water…i have caught on swing jigging and upstream cast…

So pretty much immediately after watching this I landed a 20-25lb chinook salmon 💪 that swinging method is very affective right by a drop off.

Baitcaster are a pain and get bird nest. Reason why I never tried baitcasters

Water levels fluctuate a lot by me during the season. How do you recommend adjust spoon weight according to depth?

I can't tie a uni knot to save my life. Can I attach a fluro leader to my braided line using a swivel?
