Does chain fishing need to be the same pokemon or can it be different pokemon, example I'm hunting a shiny goldeen but keep running into magicarp and corphish does that mess up the chain hooking different pokemon.
My first shiny was way back in Diamond and Pearl. Back then, I didn't understand stand why my Espeon was green. I knew Espeons should be purple but mines was neon green and I never really questioned it. I don't have the game now but I miss that Shiny Espeon, got it when the Eevee you get from that lady just happen to be shiny.

this literally took me 10 minutes to get a shiny without a shiny charm. that was my first shiny ever too. thank you man
I got shiny remoraid on 5 try. First shiny ever. And it only took 3 mins

I was looking for a regular Feebas when I accidentally found a shiny.
I've gotten too many shiny Remoraids while hunting for 3 shiny Clampearls for shiny dex..

I keep getting close to 50 chains and then getting the "not even a nibble" message. Just like real fishing, I'm just wasting my time.
will my chain break if i cant get away ?
Oh cool a shiny remorade was my first shiny in oras too and lucky for me when it evolved it had suction cups 😄
